Employment Law Attorney & HR Consultant
Julie provides pragmatic employment law advice and strategic human resources consulting. Building upon her deep experience in retail, manufacturing, distribution, and consumer goods, Julie also now serves clients in the restaurant and wine industry. Julie started her career working for 5 years as an Associate in the Labor & Employment group of a San Francisco law firm before holding in-house counsel and HR executive roles with a national retail organization for over 15 years.
Food & Wine Industry Knowledge: Pursuing her love of wine in 2018, Julie obtained the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 3 Award in Wines with Merit and became a Certified Sherry Wine Specialist. Before attending law school, Julie worked as a hostess, cocktail waitress, server, and trainer in several restaurants making her uniquely qualified to understand the challenges faced by restaurant management and workers alike.

- HR Compliance Activities such as providing harassment and discrimination prevention training; auditing employment and pay practices; and drafting contracts, commission plans, personnel policies, and employee handbooks
